Southside Apartments offer self-catering apartments ideal for exploring the Old Town of Edinburgh. The apartments are just 25 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh city centre, 18 minutes’ walk to the Royal Mile and are on a good bus route.
All apartments have fully-equipped kitchens, lounge and dining areas and a bathroom. Some apartments have original period features such as high ceilings and sash windows.
All Southside Apartments feature free WiFi and plasma TVs with Freeview The kitchens have an oven, microwave, fridgefreezer and washing machine. Towels and linen are included and hair and body shampoo is provided. A starter pack is also provided for your arrival to get you started which includes soap, washing up liquid, washing powder, rubbish bags, toilet rolls and sachets of tea, coffee and sugar.
Holyrood Park is just 10 minutes’ walk from Southside Apartments and Edinburgh Castle can be reached in 15 to 20 minutes walk.

The one bedroom apartment is a basement apartment located at 11 Newington Road and has a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge area, shower room and French doors leading from the lounge to an outdoor area. The bedroom has a king bed. If you prefer 2 single beds please request upon booking You do require to go down a staircase on entry to your apartment ;
Two-Bedroom Apartment. The 2 bedroom apartments are located at both 7 & 11 Newington Road, there are 2 apartments in each block accessed by separate main doors on the main street, the apartments are located on the 1st and 2nd floors, no lift. The apartments have a lounge and dining area, kitchen and bathroom. The rooms areup as 1 king room and 1 twin room. However, the beds are zip and link and can be made as single or king beds. Please request your bed preference at time of booking. Apartment sizes and specifications differ ;
Three-Bedroom Apartment. The 3-bedroom apartment is located at 7 Newington Road on the 1st floor with 2 king bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. The apartment has a large lounge, dining area, kitchen and a bathroom. There is also a shower room with a shower and sink. ;
Three-Bedroom Apartment. This basement apartment comes with 1 living room, 3 separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There is also an ensuite shower room from one of the king bedrooms with a shower, sink and toilet. Guests can make meals in the kitchen that features a stovetop, kitchenware, an oven and a microwave. A seating area with a flat-screen TV, a washing machine and a patio are available in this apartment. The unit has 4 beds. The 3-bedroom basement apartment is located at 7 Newington Road. Please note you do require to go down a staircase on entry to your apartment. French doors leading from the lounge to an outdoor area.
